Last few weeks of online sats for Battle of Malta

The countdown is on for this year’s Battle of Malta which takes place at the Intercontinental Hotel in St Julian’s from October 15-22.

Hundreds of players have already won seats or prize packages on MPN and 888 with many more satellites still to come over the next month.

MPN

The MPN Poker Tour has been going great guns with Battle of Malta satellites and has already sold out all its rooms at the Holiday Inn Express after filling the hotel with a ton of MPNPT qualifiers.

MPN now has more than 140 unique players confirmed – including top players such as Universal Championship of Poker winner Mateusz Moolhuizen and last year’s fourth-placed Battle of Malta finisher Mantas Urbonas. 2017 WSOP finalist John Hesp is also competing.

MPN partner sites – such as 32red, Paf, One Time Poker, Betsson, Guts, Betsafe, NoirdicBet, Olybet and Redstar Poker – are now offering €1,900 packages in the weekly finals with the last satellite running on Sunday, October 13. MPNPT qualifiers include €75, single rebuy/ single add-on finals every Wednesday (with one package guaranteed) and €33 rebuy tournaments for a €555 Main Event seat on Thursdays. On Sundays, there is a €200 buy in, single rebuy/ single add-on qualifier with five packages guaranteed, and €75 rebuy with two €555 seats guaranteed.

888poker

Close to 50 players have already qualified for this year’s Battle of Malta on 888poker with the last satellite taking place on October 7. 888poker, which was also a headline sponsor last year, has been holding Battle of Malta satellites since late July and anticipates 75 players in all will be off to Malta next month courtesy of winning a $2k package. 888 will yet again be hosting the Crazy 888s tourney at the festival with a €88 + €8 buy-in and unlimited re-entries.

After last year’s spectacular success, this year’s Battle of Malta is set to be the biggest yet. There will be five Main Event start flights in total – with many flights expected to sell out. There were 3,816 entries in 2018 making it the largest poker tournament ever held in Malta. Overall across the whole festival, there were 13,000 tournament entries with more than €2.5 million awarded in prize money.
