Battle of Malta Live 2021 Cancelled

The organizers, with heavy heart had to again cancel this year’s Battle of Malta live event, Europe’s leading mid-sized buy-in live poker festival.

Slawomir Switalski, General Manager of Casino Malta by Olympic Casino the organizers of the Battle of Malta, said, “unfortunately, due to the government restrictions in Malta involving COVID-19 the much-anticipated live festival Battle of Malta 2021, will now be cancelled. This is the second year we were not able to meet face to face. We anticipate for better times to see everyone back in Malta to break even more records.”  

On a positive note, BOM team will be working hard to make an early edition, Battle of Malta, May 3rd – May 10th, 2022.    

Designed for low to mid-stakes poker players, Battle of Malta has gone from strength to strength since its launch in 2012 and has been one of the most popular stand-alone live poker events in Europe. The award-winning festival has been smashing records for eight years in a row, running the €555 Main Event last year with 4,657 entries, generating a gigantic prize pool of €2,258,645. The 2019 Battle of Malta had 35 events on the schedule and more than 13,000 tournament entries; with the Eden Arena packed every day of the seven-day festival.
