With the 2024 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition schedule boasting €2 million in combined guaranteed prizes, this is an opportunity you don’t want to miss.
The sun will shine outside, and we promise the action will be even hotter inside with a robust schedule highlighted by the iconic Battle of Malta Main Event, which guarantees a whopping €1.5 million!
The Battle of Malta is one of the most talked about and best-attended live poker events in the world, catering to low to mid-stakes players. Since its inception in 2012, it has grown into a massive standalone tournament, attracting poker enthusiasts from far and wide and continues to adapt to the needs of the poker community.
“We couldn’t be any more excited to invite players back to Casino Malta for another exciting week of poker in the autumn,” shared Telly Bartolo, Casino Malta Marketing Manager. “The Battle of Malta continues to grow and we listened to our players in coming up with a new and unique structure for the upcoming Battle of Malta Main Event boasting a huge €1.5 million guarantee. This is a can’t miss festival for any poker enthusiast with €2 million in combined guarantees and we look forward to welcoming players to our ever-growing Battle of Malta family.”
As Bartolo alluded to, the 2024 Battle of Malta Autumn EditionMain Event features a bit of an overhaul with a variety of opening flights, catering to players with different bankroll sizes and giving everyone a chance to advance to Day 2 with a massive stack.
The first four days of the Main Event, from October 30 until November 3, will feature three opening flights each day. Players will start with a bigger stack of 40,000 chips instead of the 30,000 chips featured in the past.
The first two opening flights of each day feature the usual €600 buy-in. The first flight boasts 40-minute blind levels, followed by a quicker 25-minute blind level structure for the second flight of the day. Both of these flights will conclude when the field is trimmed down to just 15%, with all players starting Day 2 on Nov. 4 in the money.
The final opening flight of the day provides tons of value for those on a budget as they will be half-price with a €300 buy-in. These will be turbo-charged affairs boasting 15-minute levels, with 7.5% of the field advancing to Day 2 in the money to keep things on par with the bigger buy-ins earlier in the day. The 13thand final opening flight on Nov. 3 will also follow this structure in what promises to be one of the largest events in Maltese poker history.
Players can expect an even deeper structure as they advance through the tournament with Day 2 boasting 60-minute blind levels followed by 75-minute blind levels on Day 3, and 90-minute blind levels on Day 4 with a shot clock in place once the field is down to just 24 players.
The fifth and final day will boast the final table, which will be live-streamed across multiple channels on a delay with hole cards exposed. The beginning of the final table will boast 90-minute blind levels, but the clock will be reduced as players hit the rail to 45 minutes and 30 minutes during short-handed play.
There is something for everyone at the Battle of Malta. The weather is nearly perfect, and the poker action will be flowing day and night. Tournament buy-ins are suitable for every type of poker player. Side events and satellites start at just €70 and go up to €3,000 for the two-day Super High Roller. This is all on top of cash games at a variety of stakes, games running 24 hours a day, and the friendly vibe players feel throughout the extended week.
