Battle of Malta Spring Edition Champion Adrian Ziemichod
The Battle of Malta Spring 2025 is officially in the books—and it was a record-breaker across the board. Players from 45 different countries showed up, with 718 unique entries in the Main Event and a total field of 1,542. Over half the field re-entered at least once, and the series didn’t just hit its guarantees—it smashed past them, making this the most successful spring edition to date. The Main Event promised at least €500,000 for a prize pool and soared past this milestone drawing a total prize pool of €776,397.

He came into heads-up play with a 9:1 chip lead over American Rob Perelman and didn’t take long to finish the job. Had Perelman pulled off the comeback, he would’ve become the first American BoM Main Event champ. Ziemichod took home the lionshare of the prize pool with €120,000, while Perelman walked away with €70,000 for his efforts.
Standout Moments of the Series
Rasmus Lundström Makes Sure His Name is Known
Finnish pro Rasmus Lundström, just 25 years old, already had an impressive Hendon Mob resume with $131,457 in live earnings before the festival even kicked off. But his performance at the Battle of Malta Spring Series pushed his name further into the spotlight as the week wore on.

Rasmus Lundstroem
Lundström was the biggest bounty winner in the Mystery Siege of Malta, racking up €12,700 in total. That included pulling the second-biggest prize of €7,500 and a share of the third-biggest worth €5,000.
Most of his live results to date have come out of Tallinn, where he won a WSOPC Gold Ring last July—and came heartbreakingly close to grabbing a second just two days later with a runner-up finish. Media team member Glenn Brown sat down with Lundström for a full interview to reflect on his standout series and what comes next.
Flavia Guedes Wins FLIP Ladies Event for the Third Time
Monday saw four side events play out, including the ever-popular FLIP (Fantastic Ladies In Poker) Ladies event. Defending champ Gia Carnestrom was back, hoping to repeat her 2024 Autumn Edition win. Players were treated to a cozy afternoon tea party before cards hit the felt—a sweet start to a competitive day.

Gia couldn’t go back-to-back this time, and former two-time champ Emzy Oliver also fell short of another deep run. But history was still made, as Flavia Guedes claimed her third Battle of Malta Ladies title—becoming the first player ever to do so. It’s her fourth FLIP title overall, adding yet another trophy to an already stacked collection.
