Day 2 begins at 1 PM, and there are 570 players who are all guaranteed €700. The winner, however, will walk away with an incredible prize of €300,000! That’s 600 times the buy-in and the highest 1st prize ever not only in a BOM, but in a €550 tournament in Europe ever. In fact this Battle of Malta is with 3,815 players the second biggest €550 tournament that has ever been held in Europe. Only the initial Colossus at the WSOP-Europe 2017 was bigger.

Where do they come from?
Players from 55 countries participated in this years Battle of Malta, including players from Libya, India, Chins, Sri Lanka, Brazil, the US and Algeria. The Battle of Malta in fact is one of the most international tournaments there is.
The biggest fraction – by far – are the Italian players. 631 Italians came over here to play the BOM. With 298 players the Israeli fraction is the second biggest one.
