GGPoker satellites running now for €1 million guaranteed Battle of Malta

Online satellites are running now on GGPoker for October’s €1 million guaranteed Battle of Malta Main Event.

The satellites are running daily until September 11th giving all players the chance to win a Battle of Malta worth €1,275 prize package for as little as €6.

The GGPoker satellites follow a “steps” format with buy-ins set at €6, €15, €55 and €125. Each €1,275 prize package includes the Battle of Malta €555 buy-in along with four nights for the prize winner at the luxurious InterContinental Hotel where the tournament is being held.

The InterContinental is located in the buzzing resort of St Julian’s and is Malta’s largest five-star hotel. Guests can enjoy a ton of amenities including three pools, a kids club, fitness centre, spa, beach club and room service.

GGPoker is a long-time partner of Casino Malta after hosting two online Battle of Malta festivals during the pandemic and a huge online event last month.

Battle of Malta takes place October 4 to 12 and features a total of 37 tournaments. In addition to the flagship €1 million guarantee Main Event, the festival will also include dozens of other tournaments ranging from €65 buy-in turbo satellites right up to the €1,100 High Roller.

The €555 buy-in Battle of Malta Main Event starts Wednesday, October 5 with unlimited re-entries and a total of six starting flights. Each Day 1 gives players a 25,000 starting stack and 40-minute levels (or 20 minutes for the final Day 1e and Day 1f turbos) and will play down to 15% of the field – with all survivors making the money.

Side events on the October schedule include the Battle of Malta’s first “Siege of Malta“ Mystery Bounty tournament, super satellites, a Pot Limit Omaha tournament, numerous bounty tourneys and a €110 Ladies event.

At the last live Battle of Malta in April, there were nearly 2,600 entries creating a monster prize pool of €1,244,160. Italian champion Giuseppe Rosa won a whopping €200,340.

Casino Malta, which hosts Battle of Malta, said: “The Battle of Malta in October is set to be our biggest yet. The turn-out for the Spring edition was truly fantastic and we are certain to top those numbers this October. There is huge excitement about the €1 million guarantee Main Event but the schedule is also packed with side events, not to mention our round-the-clock cash games at Casino Malta so it’s going to be a very fun event.”

The Battle of Malta – a former “Event of the Year” at the European Poker Awards – is widely regarded as the best poker festival on the continent for low to mid-stakes poker players. Malta is a superb destination with more than 300 days of sunshine every year, gorgeous beaches and a thriving nightlife scene in St Julian’s. The resort has a wealth of amenities including clubs, restaurants, cafes and bars while the Hotel InterContinental, where the festival is held, is Malta’s largest 5* hotel.
