When you’re not really feeling like you want to travel a long way for poker, what’s better than having the best low buy-in poker tournament in Europe on your own doorstep?
French poker ace Fabrice Soulier has become a regular at the Battle of Malta over the past few years as he’s lived on the island for about 3 years.
Last year he skipped the BoM to go to the WSOP Europe in Rozvadov while his wife, Claire Renaut, stayed home and player the BoM Main Event.
No Claire in the field today, neither in Czech Republic for the WSOPE, as she stayed home this year to take care of their daughter but Fabrice is back in the action here on Day 1c.
Why didn’t he go back to Rozvadov to chase a second bracelet? Soulier confessed to us he’s started to get a little bored with poker and has been thinking more about other projects.
He says he likes the new BoM venue a lot, though, and we’re confident an amazing BoM will bring his passion for poker back – at least a little.
It’s starting out pretty well for him, too, as he currently comfortable with a 38k stack – a bit above the average.
