In April, Englishman Daniel Maunder went into the Battle of Malta Spring edition final table as the chip leader. He almost managed to hang on for the win, but in the end he departed as the runner up.
This time he’s back and says he only needs to improve by one place to secure the title he now desperately craves, after going so close last time. However he’s not tackling the Main event just yet, but secured a seat for €70 in one of yesterday’s busy satellites. Today he’s taking a shot at the Mystery Siege of Malta and will turn his attention to the Main Event once he has booked his place into tomorrow evening’s Day 2.
