The Halloween edition of the €200 No Limit Hold’em Dark Knight has begun with 50 players currently negotiating the second level of the day. 

I’ve just spotted a blast from my own poker past in today’s field in the shape of UK player Alan “All-in Vin” Vinnicombe. I haven’t seen him for years, but he was quite a character on the UK poker scene in the early days of the GUKPT. 

His party piece back in the day was to stand on chair shouting “All-in Vin” when his tournament life was on the line. I’m not sure if that is still part of his repertoire, but if so, we’ll try to get some photographic evidence.
