Soon after the restart, Farcasanu, who had been chipped down during the previous session found himself chipless.

Cosme Martinez raised 5,000,000 with A♠5♠ on the button, Vasileios Zisis called the initial open in the small blind holding Q♦T♠, but then Alexandru Farcasanu went over the top with A♣T♦ for 30,000,000 chips. Martinez folded, but Zisis quickly called.

The flop T♣Q♠K♠ gave Zisis top two pair, though Farcasanu was still live with an ace or a jack. The turn 9♥ and river 6♠ brought no miracles, and all of a sudden, there were two, sending Farcasanu out in third with €115,800.

Romanian Farcasanu has been one of the stars of the Battle of Malta Autumn Edition and this is his best very live result. He is usually an online pro, but made an exception to visit Malta this week. We are quietly confident that we will see the Bucharest resident once again in the future.
