Alexander Luciani jammed for 4.2 million into a pot of a little less with the Q♦K♠4♠3♥4♣ on the board when Clement Kerrien went into the tank. Kerrien eventually called.
Luciani tabled the J♣J♥ and Kerrien won a mountain of chips he was still piling up a couple of hands later after making a good call with A♣Q♣.
“Why do you call the river,” Luciani said a minute after the hand in frustration.
“In case you were bluffing,” responded Kerrien. “I was right.”
Kerrien was near the chip lead after winning one of the largest hands of the tounament if not the largest thus far.
Clement Kerrien – 8.4 million
Alexander Luciani – 2.1 million
