The €150 FLIP (Fantastic Ladies in Poker) event has just begun in the Eden Arena, with 45 players seated when the clock was started. There were initially not enough tables to accommodate all the ladies who wanted to play and at least twenty were left waiting for more space to become available. After just a few minutes of play, further dealers were scrambled into place and further tables were opened. 

The number of entrants has now risen to 78, including the runner up in April’s ladies event, including the Battle of Malta host Patrisha Rimfire. Daiva Byrne, who is the ambassador of sponsor Fantastic Ladies in Poker is also here, as is Swedish cowgirl Gia Carnestrom. Other notable players in the field include Emzy Oliver, June Jenkins and Ann-Roos Callens.
