Day 2 of the Mystery Siege of Malta began at 9pm after a forced delay due to the late finish of Day 1d, which had 354 entries. It was a fast a furious start to the business end of the tournament, with 60 players being eliminated within the first 40 minutes of play. One of these early casualties was remarkably the chip leader at the start of the Day 2, Vlasios Argyris. He had 831,000 chips and is now out, although we’re not sure what the cruel twist of events was that caused his demise.
As its a Mystery Bounty tournament, Day 2 is much more exciting than the opening days as everyone is in the money and every knockout equals a bounty, which could be as much as €40,000! The second biggest bounty is €20,000. To put these top mystery prizes into perspective, the winner of the tournament will win less than the lucky player who pulls the biggest bounty. This is what they’re playing for.
