Herli Olop, who finished in eighth place during the 2023 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition Main Event, was on line to collect his 104th place prize of €3,920 when he shared the nitty-gritty of how he lost his stack.

Olop shared he was card dead and folding for an hour. He followed up that he lost the majority of his stack as follows:

The player in the small blind limped and Olop limped behind with K♠3♠ from the big blind. Olop flopped a flush draw and middle pair on the A♠K♣2♠ flop and the chips went in against his shorter stacked opponent. His opponent turned over 2X2X for trip ducks and Olop was down to eight big blinds after unable to complete his flush draw or get a pair of runners for quads or a full house.

Olop said he lost the rest soon after with king-jack suited against ace-jack suited. It was another amazing run for Olop and we wish him the best of luck if entering in any of the side events after his long grind in the Main Event.
