Last time this year, Estonia’s Herli Olop advanced to the final table in the Main Event before bowing out in eighth place for €11,240. He is hoping for an even better run this time around and he shared that he recently gained a bit of breathing room with blinds still at 15,000/30,000 along with a 30,000 big blind ante.
According to Olop, Vincent Smith opened for a min-raise before Olop did a live misclick with a three-bet to 130,000.
“I thought I was raising 155,000,” shared Olop. “I didn’t realize I was missing a 25K chip.”
Olop’s opponent check-called bets of 155,000 on the A♥J♥9X flop and for 205,000 on the AX turn. Smith then fired out for 200,000 on the 8X river with no flush coming to the board. Olop had 300,000 left in his stack and called.
Smith turned over the KXJX but this proved to be no match for Olop’s trips, who won the hand after tabling the AXKX.
Herli Olop – 1.7 million
Vincent Smith – 1.2 million
