Looking down to A♣3♠ in the cutoff, Shervin Ghassemlou moved all-in for 8,750,000 and was quickly called by Vasileios Zisis with dominating A♥9♣.

The 6♥A♠4♦ flop played in Zisis’ favor as Ghassemlou’s kicker was no help here. The turn 7♦ gave the Brit four new outs with an added gutshot-straight draw, but the river missed, sending Ghassemlou to a payout table, collecting €66,600 for fifth place.

Shervin is originally from Tunbridge Wells in Kent, but now lives in Dubai, where he runs a recruitment agency. He loves life there, but it’s not possible to play poker there.
