Battle of Malta Main Event Day 1b
Now into level 5, the pace of registrations is picking up and there are over 200 participants, 85% of whom are still clinging to their tournament lives. They will be joined by more as the day progresses and won’t stop playing until just 15% of them remain.
Recent exits include Alfredo Cuti, a finalist in 2024, Matthew Micallef and the Irish duo of Vincent Smith and Thomas McGrath.
Mystery Siege of Malta Day 1c
Registration has now closed in the final starting day of the Mystery Siege of Malta, with 286 entries, which brings the total field up to 617 entries. The prize pool break down and mystery bounty amounts will be revealed before the start of Day 2. But before that can begin, the field needs to be reduced to 43 players and there are currently 140 left in the flight.

NLH Italy Play
Today’s €200 (€170+€30) NLH Italy Play side event began recently and is now going into the third level of the day. Despite the sponsor being from Italy, so far only three of the 17 early entrants are actually Italian. Mama mia!
H.O.R.S.E
No fallers yet in the €220 (€200+€20) H.O.R.S.E with 16 stallions and one filly (Gia Carnestrom) still negotiating the early fences in this Battle of Malta Steeplechase. Jason Glatzer is being corralled into saddling up and joining the race, but whether he caves in to such temptation remains to be seen.
Main Event Satellite
Today’s early Main Event satellite is almost over, but three players remain to fight it out for the last of 17 seats that have been awarded in it. Just one of these last three will go home empty handed, as there is €540 left over for the second place finisher.
