It’s been a long day at the 2025 Battle of Malta, and we’ve been treated with some great and entertaining poker.

Today, two flights of the €600 Main Event were featured on the schedule. Day 1c kicked off att 13:00 and – unless the numbers will surprise in tomorrow’s Day 1e – was the biggest Day 1 flight of the tournament. 686 entries were made in the flight, and 103 players bagged for Day 2.

Leading the 1c flight is Shai Biner. Not only did he bag 931,000 and have good presumptions making a deep run, but he also received the €5,000 bonus for ending the day as the chipleader.

The same goes for Benoit Kuhn, who ended up as the Day 1d chip leader after a crucial pot on the bubble.

Tomorrow, our live coverage will start when Day 2 kicks off at 19:00. Before then, though, we will share the chip counts from Day 1e – the last starting flight – which commences at 10:00 local time. We will also, of course, share the seat draw as soon as possible.
