The Fantastic Ladies In Poker €170 (€150+€20) event has now begun and in a change to the original logistical plan, it is now being held in the Eden Arena upstairs rather than in the downstairs conference space.

Before play began, there was an afternoon tea party in the stylish lobby of the Intercontinental Hotel, with some rather good looking sandwiches and snacks to go with.

There are 19 fantastic ladies already competing, including defending champ Gia Carnestrom. Danica Byrne, Emzy Oliver, Valeria Tamburin and Lisa McNamara are amongst the early entrants.
