Before play began there was another screening of the welcome video, after which Glenn Brown warmed up the crowd with a rousing speech, announcing that the winner of the Battle of Malta Spring Edition will collect €120,000 once its all done and dusted.
Tournament Director Andy Tillman then uttered the immortal “shuffle up and deal,” after which the chips started flying.
