It’s that time of night when the blog team reduces by one, as my shift has now come to an end. But the Battle of Malta will not wait for sleepy heads like me and play will continue for many more hours. It’s not the end of the coverage though, as Chirs Karlen and Alek Gillies will continue to report on action from the floor throughout the rest of today’s session.
But before I head off into the Maltese night to find my way home, here’s a quick round-up of what’s still going on here at Casino Malta.
Main Event Day 1a
It’s now into level 11 and with registration closed, the final number of entries is confirmed as 146 and they will play down until 22 players remain.
Mystery Siege of Malta Day 1b
Late registration is still open in this one as they are now on level 9 and entries can be made until the end of level 10.
Dark Knight
The Dark Knight had 35 entrants and they are now on the final table and on the bubble, with seven players left and only six getting paid.
Hyperturbo
Late registration is still open for the late night Hyperturbo. It’s a quiet affair so far with just nine players.
Main Event Satellite
The final satellite of the day is underway now, with already 82 players and its only just into the second level of the day. In this format, its possible to win more than one seat into the main event for a €70 buy-in.
