Now that the Main Event is well underway, we’ve had a chance to take a glance and see who’s making hay. Amongst their number is Emmanouil Chalkiotis, the Grecian top earner in yesterday’s Mystery Siege of Malta. There are a lot of Greek players here today, but still no sign of Vasileios Zizis, last year’s Spring Edition champion.

Also playing today are several other players who went deep in last year’s Main Events. These include Bulgarian Ivaylo Eftimov, who featured heavily in the latter stages of the Autumn Edition, eventually finishing in 8th place. Italian Alfredo Cuti who was 4th in last year’s Spring Edition is also here, as is Claudio Barone, who made the final in 2022.

We’ll keep an eye out for any other competitors with significant Battle of Malta credentials, as more and more players keep joining the field, which has now hit 500.  It won’t be long until the total number of entrants across all flights surpasses the 1,000 milestone.
