Earlier this year, the Spring Edition was won by Polish Adrian Ziemichod, who put on a dominant display on the final table, to take down the €120,000 first prize and his first major live title. He’s gone on to have a pretty good 2025, with 18 further cashes, including five at the Irish Open.
This time last year, Vasileios Zizis almost went back-to-back following his victory in the 2024 Spring Edition. However the Greek player fell at the final hurdle, finishing as the runner up, a remarkable achievement and oh so close to a historic double. He was thwarted in his quest to retain his title by Spaniard Cosme Gomez-Martinez, who emerged as another worthy champion, taking down the title and the first prize of €255,800.
Will Ziemichod go one better and secure the double? He’s here again this time and has taken his seat in Day 1a of the Main Event. We’ll keep a close eye on his progress.
