Action folded all the way to Matthieu Van De Zande, who opened to 8,000 from the Cut-off. Then, seated on the Button, Mike Maas three-bet to 25,000. For good measure, Istvan Magyar four-bet to 82,000 from the Small Blind. “Not too much action,” Van De Zande thought, and moved all in for perhaps 150,000 in total. Maas also wasn’t done yet, and moved all in himself for perhaps 110,000 in total. Back to Magyar, who shared a “what the frick is going on?” look with the rest of the table, before making the call.
Matthieu Van De Zande: A♥K♣
Mike Maas: A♣K♠
Istvan Magyar: A♦K♦
The whole table shared a collective laugh as the three contestants revealed their holdings. There were still good vibes on the 9♣4♦5♠ flop. Many players gasped when they saw the 6♦ on the turn. Then, it happened; the 7♦ on the river saw Magyar hitting his runner-runner flush to eliminate two players in brutal fashion. He ain’t complaining, though, as he has one of the biggest pots up ’til this moment.
Istvan Magyar: 430,000
Mike Maas: 0
Matthieu Van De Zande: 0
