Posting this on behalf of Christoffer, who is having technology issues, as he now will explain:
I arrived to the tournament venue at 16:00, eager to join my colleague Jonathan Raab for the Day 3 coverage. Much to my displeasure, my computer decided not to be very cooperative today. After roughly 45 minutes worth of troubleshooting, I’ve now given up, and will do today’s coverage through my phone. It’s a bit more tedious, but we’ll manage. The Battle of Malta is all about the good vibes, and it takes more than some technical issues to bring the mood down.
My first order of business was identifying some of the biggest stacks in the room. If my calculations are correct, Candido Cappiello should be the current chip leader.
| Player | Chip Count | Big Blinds |
|---|---|---|
| Candido Cappiello | 7,800,000 | 130 |
| Ruggero Magri | 5,700,000 | 95 |
| Davis Modans | 5,500,000 | 91 |
| Rafal Lubczynski | 4,600,000 | 77 |
| Jan Gompers | 4,600,000 | 77 |
| Jacob Witt | 4,600,000 | 77 |
| Amedeo Gloria | 4,300,000 | 71 |
| Gary Fisher | 4,100,000 | 68 |
