With the final flight now concluded, the floor staff are busy preparing the room for Day 2, which begins at 8pm. Chip bags are being sorted according to the Day 2 seating plan. Its a big operation to conduct, with 811 bags to sort out, as over 90 tables will be in play when the tournament resumes.
We don’t have the full chip counts of all 149 Day 1i survivors, but we have got details of the top three stacks from the flight, the owners of which all receive €1,500 packages to the Battle of Malta 2026 Spring Edition.
Darren Harbinson from the UK bagged the biggest stack of the flight and with 1,066,000, was the only chip millionaire to emerge from the day. Kristian Holmgren was second with 834,000 and Giorgios Katsakos was third with 704,000.
