British players are having an absolutely fabulous time at the 2026 Autumn Edition of the Battle of Malta and that continued today as Paul Murphy has won the Mystery Siege of Malta, scooping the €31,900 first place prize and the trophy. A deal was done with three players left, with €5,000 left to play for. Murphy took the least in the deal, but went on to scoop the extra and also claimed €16,000 in bounties for a total payday of €47,900 (to be confirmed).
After Hans Werge busted in 3rd place, the trophy was brought out and placed on the table. But no sooner than it had arrived, all the chips went in the middle and it was all over in one hand.
In that final hand, Srdjan moved all-in and Paul Murphy almost beat him into the pot. Murphy held A♣9♣, dominating Srdjan Milicevic’s Q♥9♥. The board ran out 7♥2♦5♣3♣8♥ and that, as they say, was that.
