At Table 13, Gianluca Donini opened to 200,000 from the Hi-jack. Alejandro Asenjo made it 450,000 from the Cut-off, and Donini decided to make the call.
Donini check-called a 220,000 continuation bet from Asenjo on the T♠8♥5♦ flop. Action repeated itself on the 3♣ turn, the only difference being that the sizing from Asenjo now was 325,000. Both players then checked the 5♠ river. Donini tabled 9♣8♣ and was awarded the pot, seeing as Asenjo mucked his holdings.
Gianluca Donini: 5,475,000
Alejandro Asenjo: 1,265,000
Simotaneously at Table 14, Stavros Passias opened to 250,000 from the Cut-off, and called a 750,000 three-bet from Daniele Renzi (Small Blind).
Renzi bet 400,000 on the A♣4♥3♠ flop, and Passias made the call. Renzi fired again on the J♠ turn, and Passias wasn’t going anywhere just yet. Renzi slowed down and checked the T♠ river. Passias now pulled the trigger with a 1,275,000 bet. Renzi contemplated his decision long and well, before eventually mucking, showing the A♥.
“Show one,” table mate Gareth Hamilton urged Passias. Passias obliged, turning over the K♦. Passias, the Day 4 chip leader, added even more chips to his already impressive stack.
Stavros Passias: 1,265,000
Deniele Renzi: 6,060,000
