After the players traded a few pots, Henrich Miculik opened to 1,900,000 from the button, and Mario Klaic defended.

The K♦5♦3♥ flop was checked to the J♦ turn, where Klaic checked once more, and Miculik fired out a bet of 1,600,000.

Klaic check-jammed with the covering stack, and Miculik snap-called.

Mario Klaic: 5♣3♦

In a cooler, it was top pair versus bottom two pair, and with the title on the line, Klaic was a big favorite.

Miculik needed a king, queen or jack on the river, but the 3♣ river improved Klaic further to a full house, sending him the title, and the additional €6,900 at stake after both players banked €40,000 in a heads-up deal.

The players shook hands, and a huge smile broke out over Klaic’s face as he was left to lift his first live poker trophy, while Miculik’s wife, who had been on the rail throughout, gave her husband a big hug.
