Robert Latis opened to 24,000 from early position, and received calls from Ferenc Limpar in the next seat and Thomas Bonness in the cutoff.

On the 9♦6♣4♥ flop, Latis fired out an overbet of 125,000. Limpar folded, but Bonness jammed for 150,000, and Latis made up the difference.

Robert Latis: 9♥7♥
Thomas Bonness: T♥T♦

Latis had run top pair into Bonness’ overpair, and although the 2♥ turn was sweaty for the Austrian, the J♦ river was a brick, sending Bonness an early double-up.

Thomas Bonness – 344,000
Robert Latis – 145,000
