Stavros Passias produced a stellar performance at the 2026 Battle of Malta Summer Edition, taking the biggest payout of €114,150 after a four-way deal.

However he ultimately missed out on the trophy to Alejandro Asenjo, and Passias is here in Slovakia hoping to finally get his hands on Main Event silverware.

He currently sits on a healthy stack of 185,000, with his first target to secure Day 2 qualification.

Our coverage of Day 1a has now concluded, but full details of the qualifiers will be provided in due course tomorrow.
