We’ve dropped under the 100 player mark and that means we’ve now lost more players on Day 1A than there were altogether at the first Battle of Malta in 2012.
Nicolas Proust and Espen Uhlen Jorstad are still at the feature table but they’re both short and need a double up before they get too close to the bubble.
By the way, there is now live commentary added to the cards-up stream.
There are just three female players left in the Day 1A field, among them Lena Evans and Ting Ho, and they somehow all ended up on the same table. Here are their chip counts:
Suzanne Mazet 120,000
Lena Evans 200,000
Ting Ho 50,000
It’s all become eerily quiet in the main hall as the field has shrunk to just nine tables and the joyful celebrations at the end of the satellite have died down.
Clearly, bubble play has now begun and many of the players are tightening up.
How do you play pocket fives from middle position with 25 bb if there’s a raise from a big stack on front of you?
Maybe you don’t.
