Main Event Details
The 2024 Battle of Malta Autumn Edition Main Event features an overhaul with a variety of opening flights, catering to players with different bankroll sizes and giving everyone a chance to advance to Day 2 with a massive stack.
- Opening Flights: The first four days of the Main Event, from October 30 until November 3, will feature two opening flights each day. Players will start with a bigger stack of 40,000 chips instead of the 30,000 chips featured in the past.
- Flight Structure: The first two opening flights of each day will have a €600 buy-in. The first flight will feature 40-minute blind levels, followed by a quicker 20-minute blind level structure for the second flight of the day. These flights will conclude when the field is trimmed down to just 15% and 7,5%, with all players starting Day 2 on Nov. 3 in the money.
- Budget-Friendly Option: This time, the Battle of Malta will offer opening flights for those on a budget with a €300 buy-in. These turbo-charged flights will boast 20-minute levels, with 7.5% of the field advancing to Day 2 in the money, keeping things on par with the bigger buy-ins earlier in the day.
Online Satellites
For those looking to qualify for the event at a lower cost, online satellites will be available on platforms such as KKpoker, Winamax, Optibet, and Rebet 24 (Italy). This is a great opportunity for players to secure their seats at the Battle of Malta Main Event at a fraction of the buy-in cost, making it accessible for more poker enthusiasts.
Tournament Progression
Players can expect an even deeper structure as they advance through the tournament:
- Day 2: 60-minute blind levels
- Day 3: 75-minute blind levels
- Day 4: 90-minute blind levels with a shot clock in place once the field is down to just 24 players.
The fifth and final day will feature the final table, which will be live-streamed across multiple channels on a delay with hole cards exposed. The beginning of the final table will boast 90-minute blind levels, but the clock will reduce to 45 minutes and 30 minutes during short-handed play as players are eliminated.
Additional Events and Cash Games
There is something for everyone at the Battle of Malta. The weather is nearly perfect, and the poker action will be flowing day and night. Tournament buy-ins are suitable for every type of poker player, with side events and satellites starting at just €70 and going up to €3,000 for the two-day Super High Roller. This is all on top of cash games at a variety of stakes, running 24 hours a day, in a friendly atmosphere throughout the extended week.
