2014 WORLD CHAMPION MARTIN JACOBSON TO PLAY BATTLE OF MALTA

888 Ambassador and former World Champion Martin Jacobson will be competing at this year’s Battle of Malta. Jacobson, who took down the WSOP Main Event in 2014 for $10,000,000, is part of a large squad of 888 sponsored pros attending Battle of Malta and will be competing in Malta for the very first time.
Jacobson, 32, whose total live tournament winnings now exceed $16 million, said: “I’m super excited to be coming to Battle of Malta this year as an 888 Ambassador. This will only be my second ever visit to Malta and I’m really looking forward to it. Malta is a wonderful island with so much going on, and I have heard so many great things about the Battle of Malta. I know it’s going to be a really fun event and I look forward to welcoming dozens of 888 qualifiers to this year’s tournament!”
Jacobson became an 888 Ambassador in December 2017 and will be joined in Malta by several 888 teammates including Sofia Lovgren, Ana Marquez, Daria Feshchenko and Vivian Saliba. Lovgren, who used to live in Malta, and Spanish pro Marquez both competed at Battle of Malta last year with Lovgren finishing 19th in the Main Event for €9,500 and Marquez cashing twice – runner-up in the Ladies Event and 23rd in the High Roller. Marquez, 32, achieved her biggest ever live score this summer after finishing third in the $10k MILLIONS event in Vegas for $445,000.
