David Lappin is one of the co-hosts and founders of The Chip Race podcast alongside Dara O’Kearney. If you haven’t checked it out, it is certainly worth a listen. Unfortunately, The Chip Race host won’t be at the final table, although it is possible he will join me in the comms booth tomorrow for the final table live stream.

Lappin opened for 400,000 with about 80,000 behind from under the gun. Georgio Bellanca called from the small blind and had his bet ready before the 2♥9♠7♥ flop to put Lappin in for the rest. That is exactly what happened and Lappin snap-called.

Lappin was far ahead but Bellanca had his opponent drawing dead after nailing a set on the 6♦ turn. The A♥ river completed the board to end Lappin’s impressive run.
