The board was already out reading Q♣3♣2♥6♠J♥ and after a check from Gabriele Re, Alex Iannello grabbed his full stack and moved forward to make a bet. He made no verbal announcement, but with his whole stack moving forward, the dealer announced all in and tossed the triangle in front of Iannello. Re made a quick call, but Iannello complained that he hadn’t intended to go all in.

The floor was called, and after a lengthy consultation with the dealer and several floor staff, the ruling was made that forward motion with the full stack was a defacto all-in move and so Iannello’s chips were committed to the pot. The cards were flipped and his king-jack for a rivered pair of jacks was behind the flopped pair of queens with queen-ten for Re and Iannello hit the rail in 18th place.
