Actress and presenter Laura Cornelius is once again hosting the award-winning Battle of Malta.

Cornelius made her Battle of Malta debut last year when the event smashed all records with a staggering 3,816 entries generating a €1,850,760 prize pool. Once again, Cornelius will play a leading role in promoting the event, as well as hosting coverage once the event gets under way in October.

This year’s Battle of Malta is running with from October 15-22 at Casino Malta, in the InterContinental Conference Centre in the heart of buzzing St Julian’s. The €1,000,000 guarantee Main Event starts October 16 with five start flights including a Day 1e turbo.

Cornelius, who started her career with PokerNews back in 2011, has worked at tournaments all over the world and presented dozens of poker shows including the Unibet Open, the Irish Open, the European Poker Tour and the Global Poker League.

Cornelius will be in familiar territory when she heads back to the Eden Arena. She lived in Malta for several years and is looking forward to catching up with old friends during her Autumn visit. She said: “I had a fantastic time last year and met some amazing players from all over the world. Battle of Malta is a truly unique event and I’m very proud to be part of it. I can’t wait to come back to Malta. I’m living in the UK now so it will also be awesome just feeling some sun in October!”
