Gytis Lazauninkas came from Lithuania to the Battle of Malta with more than two dozen Lithuanians he has in his long-term staking stable. Lazauninkas wasn’t able to get much going on Day 1a and had a rough start today when he lost his first bullet. His second Day 1b bullet is a different story as he just won another hand and in the process sent Shmuel Hadad to the rail.
Lazauninkas opened for 6,000 from under the gun. Hadad three-bet to 16,000 from the small blind and Lazauninkas went into the tank for a couple of minutes before he jammed his big stack. Hadad called off for around 60,000 and the cards were turned over.
