Wesley Peinen three-bet jammed for around 20 big blinds before Uri Gilboa four-bet shoved for a lot more. Dimitros Kilintaris, who called Gilboa’s initial bet folded and players turned over their cards before shouting what they were looking for.
Wesley Peinen: A♥J♦
Uri Gilboa: A♣Q♠
“Jack!” Peinen begged. “Maybe two jacks!”
A jack would no longer help Peinen after Gilboa connected with his queen on the Q♥T♥5♠ flop. Peinen quickly changed course and immediately began asking for a different card to complete his Broadway miracle.
“King!” pleaded Peinen.
“No king,” Gilboa said back before repeating. “Deuce, deuce, deuce, deuce.”
No deuce came but Gilboa’s hand remained safe regardless with the 5♦ turn and 4♠ river completing the board.
“Good game,” Peinen told the table before heading out of the tournament arena.
