Perhaps we have a Cinderella story in the making with Kostadin Mihaylov as he was down to just 1,000 chips. He is still short but is headed in the right direction after getting a little bit of luck on the following hand.
Mihaylov jammed for 1,000 from under the gun and was called by Marios Stefani from the button and Joshua Stewart from the small blind before Martinus Dogge three-bet jammed for about 14,000 from the big blind. Stefani and Stewart didn’t waste a ton of time folding their hands and the cards were turned over.
Kostadin Mihaylov: T♠9♠
Martinus Dogge: A♦Q♦
Mihaylov was behind but not by much when the chips went in. He fell further behind after getting nowhere on the 4♥4♠K♦ flop. However, the Bulgarian took a big lead in the hand after his ten found a buddy on the T♥ turn. The 8♥ river didn’t switch the pendulum and Mihaylov got a small amount of breathing room instead of hitting the rail.
Martinus Dogge – 13,000
Kostadin Mihaylov – 4,400
