Emma Oliver Wins Back-to-Back BoM Ladies Events

The €150 Ladies Event is in the books after United Kingdom’s Emma Oliver defeated Florence Mazet heads-up to win the title along with the €1,460 top prize.

The Ladies Event attracted 26 entries to create a €3,330 prize pool with four players cashing for at least a €400 min-cash.

Oliver is no stranger to the winner’s circle at the Battle of Malta. She announced before the event on her Facebook that she came specifically to Malta to defend the title she won in the Ladies Event during the last Battle of Malta.

“I was determined to win the trophy back-to-back and I came to Malta specifically with that in mind,” said Oliver. “I would have liked to have also played the Mystery Bounty event but it was more important to defend my title.”

Oliver shared that she is very competitive at the poker tables and enjoyed her heads-up battle with Mazet, who she described as a lovely person. This was despite the fact that Oliver entered the heads-up action with a substantial chip lead only for Mazet to nearly even the stacks up. Oliver regained the momentum before securing the title.
