Manish Rawal opened the pot from the middle position with a raise to 300 and Michal Janczarski called on his left, on the button was sitting Jucys Paulius(pictured below) which re-raised to 1,800. Players on the blinds folded and only Rawal called the three-bet.

The dealer turned a flop of 9♥8♠2♣ which Paulius bet for 2,700 chips, and his opponent called. The turn 4♠ made Paulius slow a little, and he checked, followed by a 5,200 bet from Rawal which the Lithuanian player called.

River was the K♥ and once again Paulius checked. His opponent swiftly put on a huge bet of 10,200 and not long after Paulius put in the call.

Rawal bluffed his open-ended draw on the river and lost the pot to Paulius’s pair of Kings, his hand was also drawing for a flush with two spades in his hand.

Great pot for Jucys Paulius at the start of the level and a grim one for Rawal, who lost all of his remaining chips in the next hand and was the first player to bust Day 1A.
