Jeremy Bametz limped in from the cutoff and Arun Sardana followed suit on the button. Vitalii Shcherba completed his small blind before James Mercieca made a raise to 2,400 from the big blind.

Bametz and Sarda got out of the way, but Shcherba made the call. Both players then checked the 5♣A♥6♠ flop before Shcherba led out for 1,600 on the 7♠ turn.

Mercieca called and the 7♦ river completed the board. Shcherba then fired huge for 7,200 chips and Mercieca went deep into the tank. Eventually, he stuck in a call and was shown Q♦T♦ by Shcherba, for a stone-cold bluff.

Mercica tabled J♠J♣ for a pair of jacks and scooped up the big pot.
