After six hours of play, Dario Barone won the 2023 Battle of Malta Spring Edition. He defeated his fellow countrymen Junyu Liu and Andrea Dominici, who finished 2nd and 3rd.

Barone took home over €156,000 in prize money and the coveted Battle of Malta Trophy.

This meant Dario Barone won the Main Event of the Battle of Malta and Junyu Liu finished in 2nd place.

The counts have not changed much and Barone leads with 35m to 14m chips.

We’re on another short break before the heads-up between Junyu commences. Barone has a substantial lead with 32m to 18m chips. But both players have over 40 big blinds and we expect a fierce battle.

Each player has already €105,500 secured, but the winner will take home €156,500 and the coveted Batte of Malta trophy.

The board fell 9♥7♠3♦6♠4♣ – not enough help for Victor Fryda.

IPC Turbo Deepstack

The IPC Turbo Deepstack event, featuring a buy-in of €400, witnessed intense action with 225 entries contributing to a prize pool of €87,140. Tomasz Wrobel showcased exceptional strategy and determination, emerging as the champion and taking home a substantial prize of €18,450. Dimitrios Koultoukis demonstrated remarkable skill, securing the second-place finish and earning €12,420.

QUI GIOCO “Vinci con noi”

The QUI GIOCO “Vinci con noi” event featured a buy-in of €300 and attracted 208 participants vying for the €51,370 prize pool. Gal Bar emerged as the triumphant player, showcasing exceptional poker skills and claiming the first-place prize of €10,890. Gonzalez Victor displayed commendable gameplay and secured the second-place position, earning a well-deserved €7,320 reward.

OLYBET Side Event

The OLYBET Side Event, featuring a buy-in of €200, witnessed fierce competition with 248 participants battling it out for a €40,050 prize pool. Pietro Corsi showcased his expertise, claiming the first-place prize of €8,520. Idan Osteraicher displayed skillful gameplay, securing the second-place finish and earning €5,700.
